With a little bit of imagination and a trip to your local thrift store, you can come up with cool, cheap, and quick costumes for kids and adults alike.
Here are some great ideas for last-minute thrifted Halloween Costumes:
Bride or Groom: It’s easy to find some wedding apparel at your local thrift store. You could even add a bit of fake blood and be a zombie bride or groom.
Prom Queen/King: Again, thrift stores always have plenty of gowns and suits. Add a tiara or crown and homemade sash (or find one at your local party store) to complete the look. Again: Just add some dark circles under your eyes and fake blood to go from traditional to zombie.
80s Rock Star: Ladies can channel their inner Madonna and sport a short skirt, colorful shirt, fishnets, combat boots and a lot of rubber bracelets. Guys might want to rock ripped jeans or black pleather pants, a sleeveless shirt and a bandana. Both will want to apply black eyeliner and hair spray liberally.
Crazy Cat Lady/Guy: Start with an old bathrobe and attach stuffed cats all over it. Maybe add a few rollers in your hair to complete the look.
Bird Watcher: Think Khaki. Khaki pants, shirt, and maybe even a vest. Add a pair of binoculars around your neck and perhaps a bird book or fake bird on your hat or head.
Athlete/Super Fan: Throw on a jersey and boom, you’re an athlete. Paint your face in colors to match and you can be that team’s number one fan.
Want to dress as a famous movie character or actor?
Eleven from Netflix’ Stranger Things: This is a relatively easy one. Eleven wears a light pink dress, blue jacket, and knee-high sport socks. Add a drip of fake blood from your nose and carry a box of Eggo waffles.
Harry Potter: You’ll need a white dress shirt, black sweater vest, black robe, and a maroon and gold tie. Add some round glasses and carry a wand.
Tom Cruise in Risky Business: Literally one of the easiest costumes for a guy (or girl). White or pink button down shirt, boxer shorts or briefs, white socks, black shades. Done.
Whatever you choose, visit your local thrift store for tons of options![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
